I own a Yamaha VL7 physical modeling synth (ca 1995) that needed an upgrade to version 2.0 so I could load new sounds into it and use an on screen editor. None of the dealers I contacted were successful at securing this upgrade kit. When Yamaha puts something on backorder, there is no indication as to when the order will be available or even whether or not the item will ever be produced. So, as a last ditch effort, I decided to contact them by email. I got a response and much to my amazement, they are making the necessary ROMs and will send them to me as soon as they are ready. Thank you again Yamaha!
